
Editorial Research & Historical Photography
Helene Demeestere serves on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles City Historical Society and is a member of the American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP).
Ms. Demeestere received her bachelor's degree in History from the Sorbonne, in Paris; her master's degree from the Universite de Paris St Denis; and later studied photography at Chicago’s Columbia College.
A highly experienced biographer and editorial researcher, Ms. Demeestere provides the behind-the-scenes investigative research needed by authors preparing book manuscripts.
Her editorial research encompasses a broad range of topics, including California history; Hollywood history; European history that relates to food and design (fashion); and European architecture. Her current writing focuses on the history of immigration to Los Angeles. She speaks English and French fluently, and has a solid working knowledge of Spanish.
